Transmission and Storage of CareLink Personal Data
Based on which country you reside in when using CareLink Personal, it is possible your personal and health information may be transmitted across country borders (securely) prior to being stored on a protected data server. More specifically, as a user of the CareLink Personal Web site, the personal and health information (including glucose data) that you upload shall be securely transmitted and stored in a protected manner as follows: (i) all CareLink Personal users in the United States shall have their information transmitted to and stored on a data server in Minneapolis, Minnesota; (ii) all CareLink Personal users outside of the United States (US) will have their information transmitted (possibly across country borders) and stored on a data server in Maastricht, the Netherlands (legacy or existing users of CareLink Personal who reside outside the US, will have a portion of their data from past CareLink Personal uploads stored on the Minneapolis server); and (iii) for both US and non-US users, a limited amount of personal data (username, password, and group name (if applicable)) will be stored on the Minneapolis data server.

Your data will cross country borders if you have authorized your healthcare professional who lives in a different country, to access your CareLink Personal data through the "CareLink Pro" program. (If you are outside the United States and have authorized your healthcare professional to access your data with CareLink Pro, your data will be transmitted through the Minneapolis data server to facilitate such access, while being stored on the Maastricht server.)

Changes to this Privacy Statement
If we decide to make a significant change to our Privacy Statement, we will post a notice on the homepage of our Web site for a period of time after the change is made.
